Quick answers (updated Oct 25, 2026)

Is Grok Bot good?
For operating business apps, yes: Bots get their own cloud computer, run 24/7 in parallel, learn workflows by demonstration and are shipping updates almost daily. The trade-offs are Grok-only models, per-user Bots and a $30/month minimum after a one-time trial.
Who should use Grok Bot?
People already on The X Subscription or Cursor who have repeatable multi-app work: outbound, support queues, reporting, invoices. x.ai recommends Super ($100) for daily agent users.
Grok Bot rating
Our verdict: 4 out of 5 for solo operators in the Grok ecosystem; lower for teams that need several models or shared conversations.
Grok Bot review scorecard: features, ease of setup, pricing, models, team use
Grok Bot review scorecard, based on x.ai docs and official updates, Oct 25, 2026.

This Grok Bot review looks at SpaceXAI's AI-teammate app two and a half months after its public beta (August 11, 2026). It is based on x.ai's product page and docs, Cursor's billing help and the official @bot, @grok and @elonmusk posts, not on a sponsored trial. Where x.ai reports results, we say so.

What Grok Bot gets right

1. It finishes work where the work lives

Per the Grok Bot docs, each Bot works on a persistent cloud computer with a browser, filesystem and terminal, using connectors where available and computer use for everything else. The launch post quotes x.ai's product team: "Most AI gets you almost there. Grok Bot can finish the swing, because the work lands where a human would put it, in the actual tool."

2. Setup is a conversation

You don't build flows. You create a Bot with a name, one job and a description, then message it from desktop or phone, by text, dictation or voice. When it hits a login, you press Take over, sign in, and hand control back. The session persists for other Bots.

3. Teach once, then schedule

Ask a Bot to follow along while you do a job; it saves the steps as a skill or routine and runs it on a schedule. Email plus-aliases (October 16) let a routine fire only on mail sent to one address.

4. Shipping speed

Official updates in the last three weeks alone: a Main Bot that coordinates other Bots (v0.66.0, October 2), 3x faster computer tasks and new connectors like Robinhood, Coinbase, Trello and PostHog (October 16), iPhone Action Button voice chat (October 19), reports and dashboards (October 21), phone apps and 1Password (October 22), and saved logins and cards (October 23).

5. Credible results, with a caveat

x.ai says a support Bot cleared 204 tickets tied to one incident in about 10 minutes with one engineer approving the batch (October 20). That is a vendor-reported case, not an independent benchmark.

Where Grok Bot falls short

  • One model family. Bots run Grok models; Grok 4.7 is strong on office and legal tasks per x.ai's own table, but trails Fable 5.1 on Terminal-Bench 4.0 (37.6% vs 57.9%). You can't switch a Bot to Claude or GPT.
  • Per-user by design. All your Bots share one computer and logins, and isolation is per user. Colleagues get their own copies from templates instead of working in your Bot's thread.
  • Pricing is bundled and metered. After the one-time trial credit, Premium ($30) is the floor, and Bot usage draws from the same weekly pool as Grok chat and Cursor. Routines and long computer-use jobs spend steps around the clock.
  • Websites still push back. The docs note sites can block automation, expire sessions or require a human step; the Bot hands those to you.
  • Beta and billing complexity. Legacy Cursor plans, SuperGrok links that are permanent once made, and The X Subscription all coexist, and they don't stack.

Grok Bot pricing in this review

Premium $30/month, Super $100/month (15x Plus usage, priority at peak), Ultra $200/month (50x Plus). Plus at $8 and Free don't include Grok Bot. The trial is a one-time usage credit with a 7-day window, per Cursor's plans and billing page.

Grok Bot review FAQ

Is Grok Bot worth it?

Worth it if you already use The X Subscription or Cursor and have repeatable multi-app work. Less so if you need several model families or a team working in one thread.

Is Grok Bot safe?

x.ai says it uses Cursor's SSO, auth and privacy mode, encrypts the cloud computer in transit and at rest, offers training opt-out, and can route sensitive actions through Auto Review. Treat everything on the shared computer as visible to all your Bots.

What do users say about Grok Bot?

x.ai's launch post quotes internal users comparing it to onboarding a coworker. Public reviews are still mostly early impressions on Reddit and X, so weigh vendor claims accordingly.

Does Grok Bot work on Windows and Android?

Yes. Desktop apps for macOS, Windows and Linux, plus iPhone, iPad and Android.

What is the best Grok Bot alternative?

Claude Duet for a proactive single agent (US waitlist); Sumus if you want Grok 4.7, Claude and GPT-6 teammates in one team chat.

Is Grok Bot free?

Only a one-time trial usage credit. Ongoing use needs Premium ($30/month) or higher.
