We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use Sumus ("the service").

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Account information (name, email address)
  • Usage data and analytics
  • Payment information (processed by third-party payment providers)

Analytics and session replay

We use Google Analytics for basic traffic measurement, PostHog to understand product usage and conversion, and Microsoft Clarity for session replay and AI-assisted session summaries. We record page visits, entry-button clicks, each account's first observed message submission after tracking begins, purchase-dialog views, checkout submissions, and verified payments. These services use browser identifiers and cookies. After sign-in, we associate PostHog and Clarity activity with your internal Sumus account ID to understand activity across sessions. Google Analytics does not receive this ID. We do not use your email address or name as an analytics identifier.

Session replay helps us understand navigation and interaction problems. We mask private text and form inputs while allowing public website and pricing text to remain visible. PostHog also blocks media and disables console and network payload capture; Clarity uses strict content masking. Replay services collect page URLs and browser metadata. PostHog removes private route identifiers and query parameters; Clarity's URL processing is separate and does not use the same filtering. We do not start Clarity on authentication, invitation, or administrator pages. Our custom behavior events do not include message text, attachment contents, or authentication tokens.

Analytics data is processed by these providers, including in the United States. Browser privacy settings and content blockers may prevent collection. You can contact us about access or deletion of analytics linked to your Sumus account.

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services
  • Process transactions and send related information
  • Send you technical notices and support messages
  • Respond to your requests and inquiries

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our service, subject to confidentiality agreements.

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
