- Vision for the first time: Tencent Hy4 reads images, charts and math figures. Hy4 Preview was text-only.
- Computer use: it can drive command lines and desktop apps, and was trained on Blender and CAD work.
- Fewer made-up facts: Tencent says the hallucination rate fell from 12.95% in Hy4 Preview to 7.2%, and errors from unsupported assumptions fell from 23.1% to 5.6%.
- Game and front-end work: +19.1% on GameDev and +9.8% on GameLogic versus the preview, with Unreal, Unity and Godot support.
- Office agent: inside WorkBuddy it scored 83.18 on average with a 96.15% pass rate, first in 9 of 12 scenarios in mainland China.

On the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, Hy4 scores 35. Early reviewers say it beats DeepSeek V4.1 Flash and GLM 5.3 on most launch tests while Kimi K3.1 Pro and Claude Opus 5.5 still lead on many. Many of Tencent's 34 launch tests are internal, so wait for more outside runs before betting a product on the numbers.

Hy4 Preview, released August 28, is a 770B-parameter MoE with about 49B active parameters, a 1M context and Apache 2.0 weights, but text only.
